Russia’s aids Syria with 12 metric tons of aid

Composed of food, water and children’s toys, Russia aided at least 4,000 Syrians during humanitarian operations held on the last part of March.

The targeted areas for the humanitarian aid operations were in the provinces of Aleppo and Daraa.

The Russian military ceased shooting and warring with armed militant groups in the said vicinities and went on with the mission, this time of helping putting smiles on the faces of the residents.

The Russian Center for Reconciliation which is involved in monitoring and ceasefire implementation in Syria, helped a sum of 4,192 civilians with humanitarian aid.

According to the Russian Center, the inhabited locality of Manbij in the Aleppo province and in the City of Aleppo itself, they have delivered “2, 000 portions of hot food, bread, water and 500 food packages”; while for the residents in Qarfa in Daraa Province, they have delivered 350 food packages and toys for the children.

According to the Russian Center, the delivered cargo weighted 12.1 metric tons in total.

The Russian Center has also helped the United Nations deliver their humanitarian aid cargoes. The UN has four convoys that hold the cargo containing the packages that should primarily benefit the physical aspects of the affected communities in Syria.

The UN had the convoys dispatched to the areas of Khan al-Shih in Damascus, Al-Rastan in Homs, and Tafas and al-Taiba, both in Daraa province.

The humanitarian aid mission made possible by the Russian military forces in the country.
